What We’ve Always Known

Humans, like so many of the world’s creatures, are not meant to live in isolation. We are community creatures. We belong: to families, to communities, to organizations, to one another. Which makes these times especially challenging. As reported in Medical News Today, “People are distancing themselves from others to help prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2, which causes COVID-19. However, isolation has a significant impact on health, contributing to conditions such as depressionanxiety, and dementia.” Our need for connection is so strong that the World Health Organization is advising people to find new ways to connect with each other despite the pandemic, which is exactly why we’re here. Everything has been disrupted but few things more than our connections to others: our family, our churches, our favorite restaurants, our places to travel, and so much more. Learn from our Norwegian friends how to make the most of winter and thrive!
